Al Blackstone is a NYC-based dance maker and the recipient of the 2011 Capezio A.C.E. Award. While working mostly in musical theater, his passion for contemporary and jazz dance enriches his unique approach to storytelling. He is proud to have shared this point of view with hundreds of young dancers at studios and conservatories across the country.

Al most recently choreographed the solos performed on SYTYCD by Season 8 finalist Jess Leprotto. Additionally, his choreography has been seen on cast members of Broadway's The Lion King for Defying Inequality, A Broadway Benefit and on Wicked cast member Nova Bergeron for BC Beat: A Broadway Connection Industry Night. He was also the assistant choreographer on an episode on "Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh Show."

Favorite performing credits include Wicked (Broadway and 1st National Tour), Carousel (Barrington Stages), "NBC's American Dreams," and "TLC's Trading Spaces."
