ISVP & Intern Spring Showcase 2009

This evening’s show represents the culmination of the five-month Winter Intern Program, and the pieces have been selected from the regular Performance Project shows held here at BDC. The Interns have followed a semester’s worth of intensive dance training—each week they take twelve classes from our unparalleled schedule, as well as a closed master class and seminar geared specifically towards preparing them for a career in professional dance.

During the semester the interns hone their technical training in numerous disciplines, as well as working on their head-shots, résumés, stage makeup, auditioning skills, nutrition, and performance skills. They participate in numerous mock audition exercises and they have countless opportunities to interact with our world-class faculty as well as develop relationships with agents from several different international dance agencies.
